Press Release: FVOP Hires Seven Employees

F&V Operations and Resource Management, Inc. (FVOP) of Grand Rapids announced today the hiring of seven new employees for its expanding operations.

Blair Selover, FVOP group manager, said the additions were needed to keep up with a growing client demand in northern Indiana and southeastern Michigan.

“The new hires give us more horsepower from the top to bottom. We’ve added some younger operators with growth potential and some operators with many years of experience.” Selover said. “We’re growing and still looking for more good people.”

Matt Hosier is a new superintendent and project manager in northern Indiana. The certified wastewater treatment operator has over 25 years of experience in facility operations and management throughout Indiana and Michigan.

James Green, a senior operations specialist with more than 10 years of experience, will be a project manager for treatment plants in southeastern Michigan and Tony Adams has been hired as an operations specialist in northern Indiana.

Green is a Class A wastewater treatment operator who also has water distribution system experience in southeast Michigan. Adams has been working in the wastewater field for eight years and previously was a maintenance mechanic at a local aluminum foundry.

Two operations specialist have also been hired in southeastern and southwestern Michigan. They include Jason Freeman, a former operations specialist who has aerobic and anaerobic wastewater treatment experience, and Richard Curtis, a former municipal treatment plant superintendent.

Two part-timers have been added to the FVOP staff. Cassandra Amato, a nursing student at Ball State University, is an entry level lab technician in Indiana while Rob Jones, who has over 30 years of experience in operations and maintenance of water and wastewater systems, will provide troubleshooting and technical supervision where needed.

FVOP was created in 2011 as a subsidiary of Fleis & VandenBrink (F&V). Today, FVOP has nearly 40 employees working in more than 20 Michigan and Indiana communities providing operations and management services for municipal, industrial and environmental systems.
