FVOP recently hosted the September 2016 Northern Indiana Operators Association (NIOA). Thirty-two people attended the meeting, which included lunch, plant tours and an update on Huntington’s Rabbit Run CSO (Combined Sewer Overflow) project.
Anthony Goodnight, Director of Public Works and Engineering Services for the City of Huntington, spoke to the group about the Rabbit Run CSO, which was recently completed. Rabbit Run CSO was Huntington’s first phase in a long-term control plan to reduce CSOs into the Little and Wabash Rivers. The project included construction of a diversion structure and a 2.25 million gallon CSO tank to provide primary treatment of up to 110 MGD of combined sanitary and storm water during wet weather events.
Thank you to everyone that attended!
