FVOP and sister company F&V staff attended the Michigan Water Environment Association (MWEA) Annual Conference in Boyne Falls earlier this week. The conference supports learning about preserving, restoring and enhancing water resources.
Several F&V Companies staff were honored at the conference.
Catherine Garnham, an operator for FVOP, was honored with the MWEA Executive Director Award. The award goes to an individual who has dedicated extraordinary personal services to the MWEA above and beyond the call of duty.
Brian Rice, PE was honored with the MWEA Groundwater Management Professional of the Year which recognizes individuals for their efforts in promoting activities and professionalism in groundwater management and groundwater protection.
Jeff Pugh, PE was ‘crowned’ with the MWEA Baron of Biosolids. The award is an honorary title passed down to an individual practicing beneficial usage of biosolids. Jeff was also inducted into the 5S “Select Society of Sanitary Sludge Shovelers” which recognizes individuals for their commitment to the water environment industry and their commitment to the Michigan Water Environment Association, in particular.
The conference celebrated its 90th anniversary with a Roaring 20’s theme on exhibit night. The F&V booth came prepared with a prohibition-style theme, winning the 1st place booth award.
